The restaurant has been open in Brno since 2004. It is located in the former M-Club on the edge of Denis Gardens in Petrská Street, about 100 meters from the Husa na Provázku Theater.
The pleasant atmosphere and home-made French cuisine will ensure that you remember your special occassions with affection. For events, we can offer attractive and affordable restaurant spaces or more intimate spaces of a private dining room and wine bar. On nice warm days you can sit outside directly under the towers of St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral and enjoy our delicious meals and a view on the flowering garden which we conscientiously take care of.
L’Eau Vive (“Living Water”) is more than just a restaurant. L’Eau Vive is like a Carmel open to all, where all people meet without distinction.
The staff consists only of the Working Missionaries from the Donum Dei missionary family who, according to the example of the virgins of the early Church, offer their whole lives to the Lord. They live in international communities of St. Theresa of Jesus and like her they offer themselves to God’s merciful love.
As missionaries, the sisters in L’Eau Vive try to contribute to Jesus’ mission in talking to the Samaritan woman: "Will you give me a drink? … If you knew the gift of God … living water."
This is where the name of the Working Missionaries’ restaurants all around the world comes from. The first restaurant was opened in 1960 under the name Le Restaurant Bleu (Blue Restaurant), but since 1961 all restaurants have been called L´EAU VIVE (Living Water).
